The hedge fund lenders did not have a risk management in place. That is a disgrace. It is certainly not out of the question and will be a topic of discussion I am sure. The fed has a difficult job of restoring faith without creating inflation....we shall see.

No, I believe that there are so many peripheral circumstances (the derivatives market - what is that? Also the lack of good decisionmaking in the mortgage market, Liar Loans, etc...) that have brought us to this point, and the historically low interest rates of recent years which have added fuel to the fire, we need (for the greater good) to swallow the bitter pill we are being fed and adjust
